The US sent its warship to Lakshadweep without India’s consent, wrote an aggressive press note

There has been a big news about the US Navy. It is reported that a warship of the US Navy has arrived in Lakshadeep Island, India. This information has been given by the US Navy 7th Fleet. At the same time, the US says that the ship was sent here due to navigational rights and freedom. The special thing is that the upheaval between Washington and New Delhi continues. However, this is not the first time that a US warship has gone through India’s special economic zone, but this time an aggressive press note issued by the Navy has increased the discussions.

According to sources, the US Navy has said that they have sent the warship 130 nautical miles i.e. about 224 km west of Lakshadeep, India. In the press note issued by the 7th Fleet, it has been held that prior to this, ‘consent from India’ was not sought. Also, it has been said that the missile destroyer USS John Paul Jones was working in ‘international law’.

It may be noted that according to Indian law, a notice has to be given before using the ‘exclusive economic zone of the continental shelf’ or passing through the route. At the same time, the 7th Fleet says that they have operated ‘Regular Freedom of Navigation Operations (FONOPs)’ and it is not about one country. At the same time, there has been no response from the Indian authorities on this matter.

At the same time, Navy sources say that this was a very strong statement. A source said, “If it was an innocent route, there is no violation of law, but if you look at the statement of the 7th Fleet, it looks like passage exercise.” Under a passage exercise, if a foreign ship is in a If it passes through the waterway of the country, then that country also goes with it in this process. However, this did not happen in this case.

Recently, the two countries had indicated working closely together to deal with the threat of China in the Indo-Pacific region. In such a situation, this phenomenon has attracted the attention of experts. A quad meeting was held just a few days ago, in which India, America, Japan, and Australia participated. At the same time, recently the Quad members have also included France in this issue going on in the Indian Ocean. This is obviously a message for Beijing.
