Due to the lack of Covid Vaccine, the third phase Vaccination in the age group of 18-45 years has been postponed in Punjab. This vaccination program was to begin on Saturday, in addition to this, the Vaccination program will be postponed to private health services from Saturday.
Chief Minister Captain Amarinder Singh made it clear that because of the unavailability of vaccine, the third phase of the age group of 18-45 years could not be started as per the program fixed. He said that the remaining vaccines on behalf of all private health institutions have been returned to the Government of India without use, these institutions do not have leftover doses for more than 45 years. The Captain has said that due to lack of vaccine supply, people aged 18-45 years can no longer be vaccinated.

After taking stock of the condition of the Covid vaccine, the Chief Minister said that the state had received 2 lakh doses but it is also insufficient to meet the two-day requirement of the age group above 45 years.
