Sneak peak into ‘Jethalal’s’ life story

All the characters of Gokuldham Society of Tarak Mehta Ka Ooltah Chashmah have created a different place in the hearts of people. The show is liked by people of all ages. Talking about the show, the friendship of Jethalal and Babita Iyer is quite famous. People like Jethalal’s character very much. That show never fails to make people laugh.

Jethalal’s real name is Dilip Joshi. According to reports, Dilip Joshi is very fond of vehicles. Because of this very reason he also has a good collection of vehicles. Among the vehicles he has are Audi Q-7 which costs around 80 lakh rupees and Innova which is priced around 14 lakhs.

Dilip Joshi charges around Rs 1.50 lakh for an episode to play his character. Apart from this, Dilip Joshi shoots 25 days a month and stays with his family for the rest of the time. In this way, his salary is more than 36 lakh rupees in a month.

to media reports, Dilip Joshi has also worked in films besides serials in the industry. But despite this, there was a time when he had no work. He was without work for a year before signing the Tarak Mehta show. But his fate changed as soon as he signed the show which turned the tables around and he had never looked back since.

Jethalal is very cheerful in the Tarak Mehta show and because of this he attracts his fans. His acting, comedy and dialogue delivery made him the favorite character on the show.

In the show he has a wife famously known as ‘Dayaben’ whose role is beautifully enacted by Disha Vakani.

 In reality Dilip Joshi has a beautiful family. His wife’s name is Jayamala and they have two children, a son and a daughter.

Tarak Mehta Ka Ooltah Chasma is an Indian Hindi language television sitcom. One of India’s longest running television shows, it is produced by Neela Tele Films.

The show went on air on 28 July 2008. It airs from Monday to Friday on SAB TV. Reruns of the show started on Sony Pal from 2 November 2015. 

The show is based on the column Duniya Ne Undha Chashma written by columnist and journalist/playwright Taarak Mehta for the Gujarati weekly magazine Chitralekha.

The series takes place at the Gokuldham Co-operative Society, an apartment complex in Powder Gali, Goregaon East, Mumbai around Gada Family which consists of a successful businessman Jethalal Champaklal Gada, his father Champaklal Jayantilal Gada, his wife Daya and their naughty son Tipendra “Tapu” Gada who is the leader of his friend circle called “Tapu Sena.” 

The show covers topical issues which are socially relevant. The residents of Gokuldham faces daily life problems and finds solutions for it but with a moral value too in a hilarious manner.
