India to urge Russia for the delivery of S-400, as Rajnath Singh pays a 3-day visit to Russia.

The Defence Minister of India, Rajnath Singh took off to Russia on 22nd of June , 2020 on a 3-day visit. The focus of the visit shall centre around the delivery of S-400 Missile System .
However, Rajnath Singh will also be a attending the Grand Victory Day Parade at Red Square to mark the 75th anniversary of the soviet victory over Germany in the second world war .
Rajnath Singh will visit Mosoco , where he shall hold discussion on strengthening the bilateral defence partnership, with the Putin Administration. The discussion is most likely to include the India – China clash at LAC as well.

As far as the S-400 Missile System is concerned , it’s a $5.4billion worth a deal . The sources also suggest, that India has already made the payment for it but the delivery has been delayed from Russia’s side, considering the spread of ongoing novel Coronavirus. The S-400 Missile System is so strong and powerful that it can track upto 300 targets within thhe range of 600km . Though apart from this , India may engage in the purchase of , Sukhoi SU-30MKIs, MiG-29s and other fighter jets as well .


As per sources, Indian Air Force (IAF) shall place an order of 12 Sukhoi SU-30MKIs and 21 MiG-29s from Russia, in order to remain armed completely as tensions are at peak on the border with China.
