J-K: Encounter with terrorists in Tral, three terrorists killed, 35 terrorists killed this month

Three militants have been killed by security forces in Tral of Jammu and Kashmir on Friday (June 26). The corpse of a terrorist has just been found in an encounter going on since Thursday night. The rest is being searched. During this encounter, an army soldier and a policeman were injured. At present, the search operation is being conducted.

According to the report, terrorists were reported to be hiding in the Chewa Ullar area of ​​Tral, after which a joint team of police, army and CRPF conducted a search operation in the area. During this time, the terrorists started firing on the security forces. After this, the security forces also started retaliation.

Reports stated that all three terrorists were local residents of the Valley. Arms and ammunition have been recovered from the spot.

The killed terrorists have been identified as Mohammad Qaasim Shah alias Jugnu, Basit Ahmad Parray and Haris Manzoor Bhat. Qaasim, a Madoora Tral resident and son of Gh Mohammad Shah, was pursuing a B.Tech Degree in Civil Engineering prior to joining militancy. He was carrying out terror-related activities in the Valley since March 2017.

Basit Ahmad, son of Gh Mohammad Parray, was resident of Laribal, Tral. He had joined militant ranks recently, on May 27, 2020 and had a degree in Bachelor of Science in Information Technology.

Haris Manzoor Bhat, son of Manzoor Ahmad Bhat, was resident of Koil Shikragah, Tral. He had disappeared in April 2020 and was believed to have joined militancy.

Earlier on Thursday, two Lashkar-e-Taiba militants were killed by security forces in Sopore in North Kashmir. So far this month more than 35 terrorists have been killed in an encounter with security forces in the Kashmir Valley, while this year more than 100 terrorists have been piled up.

On June 23, two terrorists were killed by security forces in Bandju area of ​​Pulwama. During this, a CRPF jawan was also martyred. Apart from this, on June 21, 4 terrorists, including a Pakistani, were killed in separate encounters in Kulgam and Srinagar of Jammu and Kashmir.
