Ayodhya is all set to revamp its railway station with a ‘Temple Based Model’ this time.
Even before the construction of Ram Mandir completes, the Railway Station will be completed within the span of 2 years.
As per reports, the Railways has increased the budget of the redevelopment of the Ayodhya railway station from Rs 80 crore to Rs 104 crore this year.
The project is to be expedited in order to meet the deadline and be ready before the construction of Ram Mandir completes.
The current Ayodhya station also looks like a temple only and was already earmarked for redevelopment a few years back only.
For the redevelopment, the temple look is to be retained but some other new features will also be added. The redeveloped station is expected to be able to handle the crowd in more capacity.
The redevelopment is expected to take place in two phases:
Phase 1: Development of Platform Areas.
Phase 2: Constructing of the new station building which would hold more toilets, dormitories and ticketing, etc.
Railway Minister, Piyush Goyal had tweeted, “For crores of devotees visiting the Ram Temple, railways is developing the Ayodhya Station under the leadership of Prime Minister Narendra Modi”.
