The dates for Bihar assembly elections 2020 were announced. Assembly elections will be held in three phases in Bihar. Elections will be held in 71 seats in Bihar in the first phase on October 28, while on November 3, voting will be held in the second phase at 94. The Chief Election Commissioner said that in the third phase on November 7, there will be voting in 78 seats in Bihar. Counting will be held on November 10. This time the Election Commission has issued guidelines to conduct the entire election process in view of the coronary period.
Election Commission chief Sunil Arora said that those who will be quarantined will get a chance to vote in the last hour of the day. Nodal health officers will also be appointed in the district. The voting time has been extended by one hour. Now it will run from 7 am to 6 am. The nomination form can be filled online and its printout will have to be sent to the commission. Only two people will be able to go with the nominee. The number of people going door to door will not exceed 5.
Which districts will vote in the first phase
In the first phase, voting will be held in 71 seats in 12 districts. These districts include Bhagalpur, Banka, Munger, Lakhisarai, Sheikhpura, Jamui, Khagaria, Begusarai, Purnia, Araria, Kishanganj and Katihar.
Voting will be held in these districts in the second phase
In the second phase, voting will take place in 13 districts. These include Muzaffarpur, Sitamadhi, Shivhar, West Champaran, East Champaran, Vaishali, Darbhanga, Madhubani, Samastipur, Saharsa, Supaul and Madhepura in North Bihar.
Third phase voting
In the third phase, these districts will go to polls on November 7. Elections will be held in Patna, Buxar, Saran, Bhojpur, Nalanda, Gopalganj, Siwan, Bodh Gaya, Jehanabad, Arwal, Nawada, Aurangabad, Kaimur, and Rohtas.
